The untold stories of Raila and Kibaki coalition - Miguna

The untold stories of Raila and Kibaki coalition - Miguna

Monday July 9, 2012- From Tuesday we will carry an explosive memoir of   former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s advisor on coalition matters Miguna Miguna in his book; Peeling Back the Mask, A Quest for Justice in Kenya.

Miguna Miguna, former SONU leader, exile and Canada based lawyer, was Raila Odinga’s right hand man, thinker, adviser and a staunch defender until an acrimonious parting of ways last year.

In his much awaited book, Miguna tells a provocating and inspiring account of what went on behind the curtains of power in the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) and grand coalition government.

The memoir exposes what went on the little known Kilaguni fiasco, where ODM and PNU stalwarts couldn’t even agree on who could get which room.

The book also exposes president Kibaki’s aide who turned up at a petrol station with Sh 54 million in cash in the boot of the car.

It also opens up a crash at Harambee House between ODM and PNU hardliners in full view of President Mwai Kibaki and Prime Minister Raila Odinga.

It is a must read for everyone who is interested on good governance since it also gives a gripping saga of political dysfunction, corruption and betrayal in our Kenya politics.

The official launch of the book is set on July 14 at Hotel Intercontinental.

Entry is free.
