EXPOSED: MPs and Government officials carried their ‘girlfriends’ to London

Monday July 30, 2012 - The Kenyan delegation to the Olympic Games opening ceremony in London last week may provoke another major scandal equivalent to All Africa Games in 1987 when Tinderet MP Henry Kosgei was Minister for Culture and Social Services.

Our mole tells us that Sports and Youth Affairs Ministry officials took their plumb wives alongside to London on the government’s bill.

For instance nine officials headed by Sports Minister Dr Paul Otuoma paid Sh 240,000 ticket for each of one of them and their wives to attend the opening ceremony last Friday.

They also rented a high end hotel in the outskirts of the Olympic village reserved for the rich Russian and Chinese tourists who own yachts and private jets.

The joyriders, who include MPs who were on the Parliamentary Committee, were also spotted with their “clandestine lovers” enjoying the streets of London on the Kenyan taxpayer’s money.

When will these scandals end in our country?
