MUDAVADI attacks RAILA over NSIS claims

Monday July 30, 2012 - Deputy Prime Minister Musalia Mudavadi has led scathing attacks to Prime Minister Raila Odinga over his comments that the National Security Intelligence Service (NSIS) wants to block him from ascending to presidency.

Speaking at Roret in Kericho on Sunday, Mr Mudavadi accused Mr Odinga of undermining the national intelligence body by uttering nonsensical remarks.

He accused Mr Odinga of bringing up the NSIS issue in order to hoodwink Kenyans from allegations made against him in Mr Miguna’s book, Peeling Back the Mask: A Quest for Justice in Kenya.

He urged the PM to record a statement with the police over his fears concerning the NSIS instead of beating around the bush in some media stations.

Ikolomani MP Bonny Khalwale and Ndaragwa MP Jeremiah Kioni accused the PM of being a persistent complainer who was looking for people to blame for his dwindling political career.

In his remarks on Saturday, Raila said the national spy agency had teamed up with his political opponents to encourage and fund his former advisor Miguna Miguna to write an explosive book, whose goal was to stall his presidential ambitions.
