Raila meets Drogba and Anelka and told them……

Monday July 23, 2012 - As the dust settles of Miguna’s controversial memoir, Peeling Back the Mask: A Quest for Justice in Kenya, Prime Minister Raila Odinga is in Far East making new contacts.

On Sunday the Premier met soccer legends Didier Drogba and Nicholas Anelka in a bid to convince them to open soccer academy in Kenya.

Raila who is on a one week official visit to China met the two soccer maestros in his hotel room in Beljing.

Didier Drogba who led Chelsea in clinching the UEFA Champion League trophy is currently playing for Chinese club, Shenghua FC.

His former teammate at Chelsea, Nicholas Anelka is also playing for Shenghua.

The players promised the Premier of visiting Kenya soon and assist him in improving football in the country.

The jovial PM, who is an ardent Arsenal FC fan, said he admired both players’ football prowess and he could be happier if they assist him in re-awakening the ailing Kenya football.
