Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka on Sunday said he is in talks with key political leaders with the intent of forming an alliance that will win the next general election.
“We are holding extensive discussions with former Tourism Minister Mr Najib Balala and United Republican Party (URP) leader Mr William Ruto. We are also talking with Mr Uhuru Kenyatta and all those within G7 and those who are not in G7,” he said.
Mr Musyoka was speaking after attending a Church function at the Global Worship Centre Kiserian in Kajiado County.
His comments followed a plea by Limuru MP Peter Mwathi, who had earlier said that it was important for VP Musyoka, Mr Uhuru Kenyatta and Mr William Ruto to talk and agree on fielding one candidate.
“Discuss amongst yourselves until those of us who are outside see white smoke, a signal that you have agreed,” said Limuru MP.
Mr Musyoka was confident that he will win in the forthcoming general election.
