A bodyguard of Shinyalu MP Justus Kizito is being held by the police in Narok over the death of a retired military officer in Narok South District. Narok Deputy police boss Rueben Muli said Ezekiel Lekakony allegedly shot brother-in-law Francis Koin after a row at Ololulung’a trading centre. “The officer was on off-duty when he committed the act at Oleshapan village,”said Muli. He said the two differed while on the way home in the same car, adding that the cause of the row is not known.
The police boss said the GSU officer turned himself in to the police on Saturday morning. He added that a ceskar pistol and 25 rounds of ammunition were recovered from him. Muli said the suspect is expected to be arraigned in court today and charged with murder case.
