What top leaders said about IEBC tender row

What top leaders said about IEBC tender row

Thursday July 26, 2012-Following the unsettled debate over the IEBC’s credibility, here some assertions from top political bigwigs;

Prime Minister Raila Odinga
The PM believes that the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) is a competent body and should be able to deal with the issue completely and there should be no cause of alarm.

Kalonzo Musyoka
“IEBC must demonstrate beyond doubt that it has capacity to conduct free and fair elections because this is the first step towards successful poll,”

Musalia Mudavadi
“It is disheartening that a simple exercise is marred in controversy. On hopes there are no hidden forces out to sabotage the election,”

William Ruto
“IEBC must avoid precipitating another situation like 2007’s.This confusion is not helping creating the confidence required of IEBC”

Peter Kenneth
IEBC should up its game because Kenyans want honesty and transparent arbiters…..this is necessary to thwart claims of election rigging.

Ole Kiyiapi
“My campaign team is watching this tender row keenly and we are also demanding that IEBC must consistently remain above board”

Mutava Musyimi
 The boardroom wars at IEBC are regrettable and majority of Kenyans are keenly following the unfolding scenario over Biometric Voter Registration (BVR) kits.

What do you think?
