Kibaki mourns Atta Mills

Thursday July 26, 2012-President Mwai Kibaki has sent a message of condolence to the Government and people of the Republic of Ghana following the sad demise of President John Atta Mills.

The Head of State termed the late president as one of the greatest sons of Africa.

He said Mills is clearly known for entrenching democracy and political stability in Ghana.

“On behalf of the government and people of Kenya, and on my own behalf, I express our deepest sorrow following the sad demise of President Atta Mills,” Kibaki said.

Kibaki said he knew the late president since 1970’s when he was working with World Bank, and he was a hard working, committed leader and a democrat.

Kibaki urged the people of Ghana to follow Mills’ footsteps in maintaining good governance and peace.
