RAILA is the NEXT PRESIDENT – Ngilu

Thursday July 12, 2012 - Prime Minister Raila Odinga received a major boost on Thursday after Water Minister Charity Ngilu declared her allegiance to him in supporting his bid to State House next year.

Speaking at a press conference on Thursday, Ngilu said she will support and campaign for Raila Odingas’s presidential quest.

Ngilu who is also Kitui Central MP said among all the presidential in the country it is only Raila who has reform credentials that can take the country forward.

The Minister attacked his rivals saying they have nothing to offer to Kenyans as they are only interested on tarnishing the Premier’s name.

She promised the premier of wooing other Kamba MPs in supporting his quest for top leadership.

Ngilu broke up with Raila last year after she was underfire over corruption allegations at the Water ministry. Though Raila publicly declared support for Ngilu, his close confidantes complained loudly that she was “eating alone”, and the PM ended up offering lukewarm support in the scandal.

Romour has it that the Raila wants to appoint Ngilu as his running mate in the upcoming elections.
