The next President will be a Luhya - Wetangula

Wednesday July 11, 2012-Presidential hopeful and Trade Minster Moses Wetangula has said he is ready to support Deputy Prime Minister Musalia Mudavadi in his presidential bid for the sake of unity of the Luhya community.

Speaking at Sirare Primary School in his Sirisia Constituency, Mr Wetangula said he will support a presidential candidate who is popular and will attract the backing from all Luhyas.

“I am ready to support whoever we will nominate to be our presidential candidate,” he said.

Wetangula said the Luhya region has six presidential aspirants and it will take only their unity in capturing the next presidential seat after president Kibaki’s exit early next year.

He expressed confidence that the next president will come from the Luhya community.
