The electronic voter registration exercise comes to a close Friday.
The manual registration exercise ended on the 9th of this month with over 12.5 million voters having registered.
The closer of the exercise at 5 pm local time adds momentum to the civic education on the proposed draft before the official campaigns kick off in July, giving way to the referendum on 4th August this year.
Rift Valley had the lion's share of the registered voters at 1.7 million while North Eastern trailed with the least number of registered voters at 320,000.
Interim Independent Electoral Commission (IIEC) is expected to announce the final tally after compiling reports from the field.
Meanwhile, the union of the visually impaired persons Nyanza branch have protested and condemned the choice of colors as symbols in the referendum by IIEC.
The union said people with visual disabilities are likely to be confused during the exercise since they cannot differentiate colors.
Led by the provincial chairperson of the Kenya union for the blind Nyanza region Charles George Juma, they further claimed the choice of the green and red colors may put their lives at risk since they are not in control of the colors of clothing they wear and may easily be caught up in warring camps.
He therefore called on the on the commission to rethink the use of the red and green colour symbols other than before the campaign reaches it's climax.
