Uhuru and Mudavadi respond ODM on their parties being kiosks

Friday July 6, 2012 - Deputy Prime Ministers Uhuru Kenyatta and Musalia Mudavadi have attacked  East African Co-operation  Minister Mursa Sirma over his earlier remarks that the duo are not credible presidential aspirants. (Read Musa Sirma’scomments here>>>)

Uhuru and Mudavadi through their Directors of Communications said Sirma who was nominated to parliament by ODM should not underrate their ambitions.

“Sirma should stop being naughty. How dare he say that Kenyatta’s presidential bid is not credible?” Uhuru’s Director of Communications Munyori Buku said in a statement on Thursday.

“Kenyatta has a track record and he is asking the people of Kenya to judge him by that. Let Sirma and those he supports place their track records on the table,” Buku added.

He said that Sirma should respect other leaders running for the presidency and stop thinking that Raila Odinga is special.

On his part Mudavadi's Director of Communications Kibisu Kabatesi, told the ODM leaders to give him a break.

“The DPM’s has no time to respond to Sirma’s utterances. He is focused on his campaigns and nothing will stop him,”Kabatesi said.

Sirma last week lashed out at Uhuru Kenyatta, Musalia Mudavadi and William Ruto saying they are not credible presidential aspirants to match Prime Minister Raila Odinga.

The Minister further stated that ODM is the only popular party in the country terming other parties as kiosks.
