Sunday, July 29, 2012 - Yesterday at the Greek Orthodox Church in Valley road, Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s son Fidel tied the knot with his Eritrean girlfriend Ms. Lwam Getachew Bekele. The low key wedding saw delegates from all over Kenya decorating the wedding.
Among the delegates in attendance was Eritrea’s Ambassador and the Raila family. Security at the church was beefed up as uninvited guests, journalists and gate crushers were barred from attending the prestigious wedding.
A month ago Fidel was baptized in the same church and was christened. Apparently his father Raila Odinga only attended his son’s wedding for 30 minutes, weird huh!
Citizen news was the only media house authorized to air the wedding with the coverage of Prime Minister’s Press service which has been covering major events attended by the Premier in the recent past.
The PHOTOS below are of poor quality because no camera was allowed into the wedding. Hope they give you a glimpse of what happened.
