Elect a performer –Kenneth urges Kenyans

Monday July 23, 2012-Presidential hopeful Peter Kenneth has urged Kenyans electorate to elect leaders who have good performance records in the forthcoming general election.

Speaking after attending a church service in Embu town, Kenneth said that the key to solving the problems of poverty and joblessness that rocks the country lies in electing a performer as the president.

“The next president should  be the one  who will work towards creating employment for the jobless youths  and putting an end  to the  debilitating poverty among Kenyans,” said Kenneth who is also Planning assistant minister.

The Minister asserted that names and personality of contestants should no longer be the guide to the kind of person to elect, but voters should look at the aspirant’s ability to take the country forward.

Kenneth, who is also the Gatanga lawmaker, asked Kenyans to be tolerant for one another and avoid the repeat of 2007/08 post election violence.

“All people must preach and practice peace and unity so that Kenya does not go back to the dark days that followed the 2007 elections,” Kenneth said.

Kenneth’s Gatanga constituency has been hailed as the best in the country and hopes the credentials will endear him to voters and get to State House next year.
