Share/Save/Bookmark Gichugu MP Martha Karua has suffered a blow after one of her Narc Kenya Party NEC members resigned to join Eldoret North MP William Ruto’s camp. Sande Oyolo, who until then was the party secretary for youth quit the party on Wednesday in a letter written to the party secretary-general and copied to the Registrar of Political Parties. “I wish to tender my resignation from Narc Kenya party as a life member and member of the National Executive Committee (NEC). This I do in sincerity and clean heart,” the letter read in part.
Oyolo said he is quitting in the spirit of pursuing a higher calling intended to meet similar aspirations in a different political formation. “I seek to follow my heart to meet a common end.” The former official who also at one time served as the Executive director of Narc Kenya indicated he was moving to Ruto’s UDM camp. “The 2012 race is shaping up...its clear where Kenyans are facing in the Kibaki succession race. I have no intentions of being left behind when the next government of UDM and William Ruto is formed,” he wrote in a press release. Oyolo defended his reason to quit.
