Share/Save/Bookmark One of the Ocampo Six suspects is reportedly planning to raise several issues to delay the confirmation of charges hearings scheduled for next month. The suspect has lined up appeals against decisions that the ICC judges have made in the past year. He claims authorities in his constituency have used the Act to close down a bar he runs because it is situated near a nursery school. The MP has vowed to fight back and ensure the bar is opened.

Did a politician pay for the opinion poll that was done by a little known outfit based in Nakuru and released early this week? It appears the two camps in the Kitui/Mwingi county have reached a compromise of sorts on how they will share the 2012 spoils. The arrangement being discussed is that VP Kalonzo Musyoka will be let alone to gun for the presidency, assistant minister David Musila will run for Senator, Mutito MP Kiema Kilonzo will go for Governor while minister Charity Ngilu will try for a Cabinet secretary (a Cabinet minister under the new constitution but who does not hold a parliamentary or political seat). We hear this is why Kiema's relations with Uhuru Kenyatta and William Ruto are cooling off.
