Sealed envelope
The new Constitution says the positions must be filled before August 27. The two names will then be forwarded Parliament for approval before a formal appointment is made.
The Controller of Budget nominees, the Nation learnt, were handed over to the two principals in a sealed envelope.
“We have already forwarded the names for the position of Controller of Budget to the appointing authority,” said Ms Kigen.
She added: “Our work was to shortlist qualified Kenyans and conduct the interviews. It was not to make public those we have selected. This has been reserved for the appointing authority.”
