Deputy Prime Minister and UDF presidential aspirant Musalia Mudavadi has appealed to Ameru community to support him in coming elections.
Mudavadi said the Njuri Ncheke honoured him this year by embracing him as one of their own and he will not let them down.
“You gave me the name M’Mukiri meaning I am calm and sober. These are the qualities that I will bring to the leadership of this country,” he said.
Mudavadi, who was attending a funeral service late chief Mithika of M’Ithingia in Maua said he will not forfeit his presidential bid because he stood for truth, honesty and fairness. The DPM said the threat to remove chiefs was of no consequence because they are protected by the Constitution which recognizes their important role in the community. The late Mithika was the son of national chairman of Njuri Ncheke
