A former state law officer who wants to be a commissioner with the National Police Service Commission yesterday said he hated working with the police.
"I would not like to have any interaction with the police. Dealing with the police is a very abrasive issue," said Njagi Marete, a former  staff at the Attorney General's office.
Njagi was among five candidates who were yesterday interviewed to be members of the police commission that will oversee the running of the police . Twenty candidates have so far been interviewed for the job. Another 18 will be interviewed in the next five days. Robert Shaw, a Kenyan of British descent, yesterday told the interviewers that his knowledge in institution management will help in the job.
