Two killed at Turkana border

Tension is high on the Kenya/Ethopia border in Turkana county after the killing of two people, including a police reservist, by bandits, at the weekend. Turkana North DC Albert Mwilitsa says some families have fled Lokorianyang area following increased attacks by the militia from Ethiopia. The government has deployed extra security teams to patrol the area but residents said the banditry a tacks had intensified in the last one month. More than 200 fishermen have also fled Lake Turkana due to insecurity on the border.
