THE government and humanitarian agencies have so far reconstructed 26,000 houses for IDPs in the country. The Permanent Secretary for Special Programmes Andrew Mondoh says the ressetlemnt programme has cost the government more than Sh 3 billion since it started. Another 10,000 houses will be put up as part of the process to complete the resettlement this year. Mondon visited several areas where IDPs have been given homes and said the exercise will come to a close in the next few months.
