Raila leaves for week-long holiday in India

Prime Minister Raila Odinga left the country today for a one-week holiday in India.

The PMr left the country aboard a Kenya Airways plane to Mumbai accompanied by his wife Ida and other family members.

Mr Odinga is expected back in the country in the first week of January 2012.

The PM has kept a busy schedule in the country over Christmas holidays.

On Christmas eve, he was in Bondo, where he attended prayers at the ACK church in the town and later hosted a party at his Opoda home for family and friends.

Between December 23 and 26 the PM extensively toured Western Kenya, visiting Nyando, Sabatia and Funyula constituencies on a meet-the-people tour.
