10 others were seriously injured and rushed to Hospital
Seven people have been killed in an early morning road accident involving a lorry, a Nissan matatu  and a motor cycle at Muguga near Limuru  along Nairobi-Naivasha highway.
The accident occurred at 7.30 am when the driver of the lorry ferrying fish from Kisumu veered off his lane hitting the matatu headed for Nakuru and the cyclist.
Central Provincial Police Officer John Mbijiwe told journalists in Nyeri that more than ten other passengers from the ill-fated matatu were rushed to the Kikuyu District Hospital with serious injuries.
He said that the driver of the truck was overtaking another vehicle when veered off to the other side of the dual carriageway colliding head on with the oncoming matatu before hitting the motor cyclist, killing him instantly.
Five passengers aboard the matatu, the driver of the lorry and the motor cyclist died on the spot.
Mr. Mbijiwe said the accident caused heavy snarl along the busy road ,as the police, local villagers and other motorists struggled to remove the injured and the dead from the mangled wreckages of the two vehicles.
