Uhuru, Kalonzo hit the road in search of votes

Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta takes his presidential campaign to Narok County this morning as his G7 ally and Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka woos diaspora voters. Uhuru will start a two day visit to Narok starting today and tomorrow where he will hold a series of meetings and rallies.
On his side, Kalonzo who is heading to Cyprus for an officials engagement will make a stop over in London where he will be hosting dinner for Kenyans in the UK. He leaves tonight for Europe. He will be using the trip to mobilise support from the diaspora.
On his side, Uhuru will be in Narok and Kilgoris according to an invitation sent to MPs and Narok leaders last evening. “Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta will tomorrow Friday November 11 and Saturday November 12 tour Narok County to open economic stimulus projects," the SMS sent to MPs yesterday read in part.
According to the invite, the DPM is scheduled to hold a series of other meeting to woo Narok voters. He will be holding a leader’s meeting in both Narok and Kilgoris today and tomorrow, which will be held at Seasons hotel in Narok, then open a fresh produce market, jua kali sheds and visit Enkare Nkareta Secondary School.
In the afternoon, Uhuru will be in Olololunga in Narok South before hosting a leaders meeting at Mungu Tulinde Social hall. On Saturday, Uhuru will begin his tour of Kilgoris, open a fresh produce market and health centre before hosting leaders at Kilgoris Catholic Church.
The DPM has invited several MPs and councillors allied to his camp to accompany him in the two day event as he seeks to market his candidature among the Maasai.
His other ally and Eldoret North MP William Ruto has in the past pitched tent in the area as he seeks to solidify his Rift valley support. Prime Minister Raila Odinga and VP Kalonzo have also visited Narok in the past few months.
