Vice-President Kalonzo Musyoka toured President Kibaki’s Nyeri turf where he hit out at Prime Minister Raila Odinga saying the ODM leader cancelled a planned tour to avoid hostile reception.
During the start of his two-day tour of Mathira, Nyeri Town, Tetu and Othaya constituencies, Kalonzo at the same time tore into the PM, accusing him of seeking to open the wounds of 2008.
He said recent sentiments made by the Prime Minister in a Nairobi court were outrageous at a time when Kenyans had chosen to forget the ugly scenes.
"He also claimed that bad weather made him cancel his planned tour of Nyeri. That was not the reason, and instead, he feared coming because he had already linked President Kibaki to the 2008 violence," said Kalonzo while addressing a crowd in Karatina.
