Hunting husband becomes the hunted

By Standard Correspondent

An amorous rogue officer’s proverbial 40 days ended when he was ambushed in his lover’s matrimonial bed by her husband in Eldoret.
It is said the officer had on several occasions been seen with the woman whenever her husband was away.
Unfortunately for the pair, the man, a clinical officer in Nyanza, was tipped off by scandalised neighbours.
It is said that the woman, who is a banker in Eldoret, has repeatedly been seen driving the officer’s car.
The two would even be spotted together in entertainment joints.
Flatly Denied
When her husband enquired from her whose car she was rumoured to have been numerously seen driving, she flatly denied ever driving anyone’s car.
She went to great lengths to convince her husband that the rumours were from people out to break their happy family.
It was at this point that her husband pretended not to bother with the issue anymore. But unknown to the wife, he remained suspicious and was stealthily laying a trap.
On the fateful night, one of the husband’s relatives spotted the lovebirds walking in pitch darkness towards the couple’s home and informed her husband.
The man in turn called his wife and deceived her that he had a lot of work in the hospital and would not, therefore, be joining the family for the weekend as was the norm.
But instead, he immediately set out for Eldoret to find out whether what neighbours had been telling him was true.
When he reached his main gate, he called the wife but found her mobile phone switched off.
Left with no choice, he scaled the perimeter wall but discovered the front door had been barred from the inside.
A man’s voice
He tried peeping through an opening in the bedroom window and while he could see nothing, he was sure he could hear a man’s voice.
It is then that he shouted his wife’s name and threatened he would set the house on fire if she didn’t open the door immediately.
His wife, naturally, refused to open the door and only made numerous pleas asking him to forgive her. But he could hear none of it.
Rogue officer
Puffed up with rage, and realising she was not going to open that door, he attempted to break it down.
Little did he know that the rogue officer had phoned colleagues to come to the rescue.
Suddenly, a station wagon was driven into the compound at high speed.
Five men jumped out and restrained the enraged clinical officer.
They then rescued their amorous colleague, bundled the aggrieved man into his house and sped off.
The wife had, meanwhile. slipped out through the backdoor, leaving their innocent two-year-old child behind.
It is said that her husband traveled the following morning back to his workstation with his child. Then woman has not been seen since.
