Tuesday December 18, 2012 -Members of Coalition of Reform and Democracy (CORD) in Nairobi are crying foul, after The National Alliance allegedly sponsored Ford Kenya parliamentary aspirant to contest for the Embakasi East seat.
Credible sources say the aspirant was recently given Sh 7 million to demand a joint nomination.
The plan is that he gets the Ford Kenya ticket seat so that he can split the vote for CORD and therefore allow TNA to win.
The sources also said that this is just one of many other seats in the city where Ford Kenya aspirants are being persuaded to demand nominations from CORD instead of joint nominations with ODM, as has been proposed.
TNA is a party associated with Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta who is using his fat wallet to shape up the Nairobi politics.
CORD is spearheaded by Prime Minister Raila Odinga and Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka.
