AG Githui Muigai and CIC chairman Charles Nyachae agreed to work together
Members of the CIC and the office of the AG have set aside their differences and said that they were committed to implementation of the new constitution.
The two groups dismissed allegations of a crisis in the process adding that some of the pending bills that have raised an impasse would be ready before the end of the month.
In a meeting chaired by CIOC chairman Mohammed Abdikadir, CIC chairman Charles Nyachae and the AG Githui Muigai agreed to work together.
The trio dismissed word that they had fallen out and vowed to put on the track the process to make sure it met the deadline.
Abdikadir admitted that the process faced various challenges and pointed out to the ongoing war in Somali and the ICC process.
"We are committed to the process but we see some challenges like the ongoing war in Somalia and the harsh economic times,"
The chairman called on the publication of devolution bills by the 20th of this month for tabling in parliament.

According to Abdikadir, implementation organs had reached an agreement to have the bills ready so that parliament could debate them once they resume sittings at the end of the month.
He however said they had not set the deadlines for the publication of the public finance management and the land bills adding that they were still discussing them.

'We are still looking into the public finance bill while the ministry of lands has not finalized on the lands bill and we will give the deadline once we receive them'.

Abdikadir was speaking to the press after a meeting with the office of the attorney general and the commission for the implementation of the constitution at Sopa lodge in Naivasha.
The meeting was used to dispel reports of a crisis in the implementation as the office of the AG and the CIC have publicly differed over the same.

He said that parliament will debate the bills upon resuming sittings as they look forward to beat the deadline of  26th of next month as enshrined in the constitution.

'We are committed to the resolutions we made in April last year at county hall and all the bills will be ready before their timelines given by the constitution expires'.

On their part the Githu and Nyachae dismissed rumors that they had differences adding that they were committed to fully implementing the constitution.
Professor Muigai said his office was co-operating fully to the process saying the bills will be ready with the timelines given.
Nyachae termed the meeting as fruitful saying it was not possible to work alone in the process.
"I think it is wrong to portray the office of the AG and my office negatively as we have a cordial working relationship as organs mandated by the constitution'.
Deputy prime minister Musalia Mudavadi ministers Mutula Kilonzo, James Orengo Mps Martha Karua, Oburu Odinga Kilemi Mwiria Millie Odhiambo and several permanent secretaries are among those attending the two day retreat.
