Narc-Kenya leader Martha Karua graduated on Saturday at the United States International University with a Masters degree in Business Administration. Speaking during the ceremony, Karua said she decided to go back to class as part of her preparation for succeeding President Kibaki.
Local Government and MP for Kikuyu, Lewis Nguyai and his wife Pauline Nguyai also graduated in the same programme. She said she had to sit in a class and listen to lecturers some of whom were her daughter's age but all for a purpose. USIU class of 2011 was said to be the largest graduating class since the start of the university.
Kenya Airways CEO Titus Naikuni who was the guest of honour urged the 2011 class to look for job opportunities beyond the Kenyan boarders adding that Kenya has very many educated but unemployed youths. USIU Vice-chancellor Freida Brown said the university through International Relation faculty, had launched a public/private partnerships by launching the first ever seminar series on the crime prevention in Kenya at the KIA.
