Prime Minister Raila Odinga's son was involved in a road rage with a woman motorist in Hurlingham, Nairobi, on Wednesday. This time it was Raila Jr, not Fidel who a few months back clashed with a matatu driver who reportedly blocked him. Raila Jr was driving a white Toyota Prado when he blocked the woman who was driving a Nissan saloon at the exit of Hurlingham Plaza. She promptly got out of her car to give Raila Jr a piece of her mind. Raila Jr responded by calling out his bodyguards to deal with the woman. Undeterred, the woman driver stood her ground and refused to move. A crowd gathered to watch the drama as the woman demanded that Raila Jr should apologise to her for being rude. An Asian gentleman was called and tried to plead with the woman to let the matter end there. She refused insisting that Raila Jr apologise for his poor road manners and attitude. Raila Jr opted to eat humble pie. The woman driver told him: Hata kama ni mtoto wa Kibaki ama Raila, I don’t eat in their homes. They should show respect like everyone else!'

A former media personality who is used to soliciting money from politicians and CEOs was this week busted when he demanded Sh500,000 from an organization so as not to leak information about an alleged scam. The directors of the organization flatly refused to part with any cash and instead reported the matter to the police. The man is a frequent patron at bars in Kenyatta Market where he is known for spending what he extorts from his victims. His modus operandi is to identify an organisation or individual, claim he has damaging information about them and issue threats that he will place the stories online or in newspapers if he is not apeased with cash handouts.

Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka was taken to task by a section of leaders from Kisii over his perceived "pussyfooting" approach in politics. The VP was meeting with the leaders on Wednesday night to finalise plans for his next tour of the region. The leaders pointedly asked Kalonzo why he doesn't take PM Raila Odinga head on. The Mwingi North MP responded by saying Raila is his brother and that he is even thinking of inviting him to visit his constituency soon.
