Man beats tout for caressing his wife

By Silahs ChemwainaMen who are in the habit of touching female passengers seated next to them should learn from a matatu conductor plying the Eldoret-Kapsabet route.
The conductor is nursing a broken limb and other injuries when he fell off a speeding matatu to evade a man’s wrath after caressing his wife in his presence.
The conductor’s actions triggered the man who was seated at the back to rain heavy blows that forced the conductor out of the vehicle.

According to a passenger who was seated next to the woman, the saga started when the couple boarded the vehicle in Eldoret town and were heading to Kapsabet.
She said that after about eight kilometres, the conductor, who sat next to the woman at the door of the 14 seater vehicle, started to talk to the young woman but the conversation was fruitless. Then the conductor began touching her thinking she was a college student.

The woman’s stern warning to the conductor fell on deaf ears. It is said the conductor devised a different scheme that saw him pass his hand beneath the woman’s bosom and touched her breasts.
"I heard the woman telling the conductor she would inform her husband what he was doing to her but the conductor pestered on with his indecency. I also told him to behave well but he rudely told me to keep off," Mary, a passenger, told Crazy Monday.

Winning game
All along the husband was watching how the conductor was playing with his wife and when he intervened, the conductor accused the man of jealousy and he vowed to fight with anyone to win the beautiful woman.
The tout then pointed the finger at the man while threatening to beat him up if he would become an obstacle in his quest to win the woman.

That threat triggered the man to rain hailstorm of blows and efforts by the conductor to respond were futile. The man pushed the conductor out and since he was unable to hold on to the door, he fell off the speeding car near Mosoriot Trading centre.
He hit the tarmac and missed death by a whisker when a vehicle that was following the matatu almost ran over him.

"The driver told us after the incident that he had warned the conductor over his behaviour several times but he was adamant," she added.
The ill-mannered conductor was rushed to Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital, Eldoret, where he was admitted and discharged after three days.
