Still on Raila, some Cabinet Ministers are complaining that some of the ODM leader's handlers are being motivated by personal gain at the expense of the PM. Some of his associates who have long experience in politics are concerned that the PM will find himself isolated and unable to assemble a credible team to run his presidential campaign next year. They say the PM's handlers are alienating some of the PM's strong backers.

A prominent MP who made his debut in the last elections is considering shunning public life and retiring to his private business once his term is over. The MP, one of the young and energetic MPs has reportedly mentioned his intention not to seek re-election to his close friends and family. They do not know what to make of his decision as they believe he could make a formidable presence in the next Parliament.

It is not clearly why some ODM MPs are so opposed to the nomination of Keriako Tobiko as the Director of Public Prosecutions. The Office of the Prime Minister was represented in the interviews that led to Tobiko being short listed. Indeed, our moles tell us that Caroli Omondi sat on the interview panel that was chaired by COTU boss Francis Atwoli and which reportedly awarded Tobiko more than 90 percent marks!
