Share/Save/Bookmark Some MPs associated with the G7 Alliance are in a panic after reports emerged that Eldoret North MP William Ruto could be rethinking his political relations with Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta. The MPs from Rift Valley and North Eastern are convinced that if the two fall out then their hopes of winning the next presidential election will be gone. They now plan to start a round of negations with both sides to try and convince both communities that sticking together will be good for them.

An MP with presidential ambitions is reportedly suffering from financial constraints after some of his backers stopped sponsoring his round-the-country trips to popularise himself. One of those who have been funding the aspirant's trips is said to be ignoring his calls.

The appointment of a new CEO in a parastatal under the Ministry of Energy has raised the ire of some of the staff who have written President Kibaki and Prime Minister Raila Odinga expressing their discontent. The staff claim the appointment was not made on merit but just because the man comes from the same village as a senior ministry official.

 Former Cabinet minister Raphael Tuju’s private office on Matumbato Road in Upper Hill has been broken into and the thieves made off with computers and other office equipment. The office is the headquarters for Tuju's Hope Foundation which  recently launched its peace and reconciliation rallies in various parts of the country.
