In our Weekend Star, we published a story titled 'poll body talks set for Naivasha' in which we indicated that the Interim Independent Electoral Commission (IIEC) was unhappy with the inclusion of politicians in a workshop to discuss the Independent Elections and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) bill 2011 which starts today in Naivasha.

The Commission Secretary Major (rtd) James Oswago has since clarified that it is not in the interest of the commission to obstruct the participation of politicians in the process.

Further he says the commission welcomes any views from all Kenyans interested in championing electoral reforms in Kenya without hindrance of any manner.
