The race is between Omingo Magara, Ibrahim Ochoi and Manson Oyongo Nyamweya. Parties are not that crucial but clans are. Tribalism has been introduced by some that Ochoi is 'an outsider'. Apparently his grand parents migrated from Gwassi in Suba District and settled in South Mugirango. To some locals, the Subas are considered part and parcel of Luos and Magara is hyping on that notion to spread the propaganda that Raila is imposing his 'brother' down the throats of South Mugirango people. It was working initially but the effect is dissipating.
Raila yesterday drummed up support for Ochoi at Etago but immediately he left the venue, the sly Magara came in to address the same crowd. Many however walked out on him.
