Pupils under the Pupils Reward Scheme (PURES) had a rare moment with President Uhuru Kenyatta on Friday morning takingselfies, hugging and hi-fiving.
The head of state looked relaxed and all smiles with no security around him as some of the students wrapped their arms around his neck from behind in order to take selfies.
He is dressed down in a polo t-shirt and casual pants around the dining table where he had breakfast with the students.
“This morning I had breakfast with the third batch of PURES students at State House, Nairobi,” read a caption accompanying the pictures on Facebook.
PURES is an initiative of the First Lady and the President where they mentor the pupils.
The pupils drawn from 47 counties get an opportunity to interact with the First Family, key Government Institutions and key leaders .
