Jubilee MP wants CS Waiguru to step aside over graft claims

A section of leaders from the ruling Jubilee coalition want Devolution Cabinet Secretary Anne Waiguru to step aside over corruption allegations at the National Youth Service (NYS).
Led by Konoin Member of Parliament Sammy Koech, the leaders now says it is wrong for Waiguru to clean her name over the 826 million shilling NYS funds scam through the media instead of allowing an independent probe.
Koech now wants the embattled devolution CS to leave office and allow the Eathic and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) to investigate the allegations against her and propose appropriate action.
This comes just a day after irate youths in Kibera held protest setting ablaze projects initiated by the Devolution CS through the NYS.
The youth torched clinics, toilets put up by the National Youth Service (NYS) and vandalized water tanks and pipes.
Police had a hard time controlling the situation after the rowdy youth blocked major roads leading to the slums while chanting anti-government slogans.
Monday night’s chaotic scenes have since sparked a major debate on social media where most users are accusing Kibera residents of being used to settle political scores at the expense of projects meant to benefit them.
