The son of former Cabinet Minister Mukhisa Kituyi has died.
Ivar Makari Kituyi, 30, passed on in his house in Nairobi after a night out with friends.
Makari, who was diabetic, was dropped home at 11pm by his friends after a night out at a city joint.
The family and friends said Makari spent his evening with friends in the city before retiring to his home at Roselyn Gardens where he suddenly died on Saturday night.
Makari’s body has been taken to Lee Funeral Home in Nairobi.
The deceased was the eldest son of Dr Kituyi, who is the Secretary-General of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development.
Makari was a graduate of Curtin University of Technology in Perth, Australia where he pursued a degree in Film and Television and specialised as a writer/director, minoring in editing.
After university he moved to Norway where he worked as an editor/cameraman with the national broadcaster, NRK, before returning to Kenya.
