The National Alliance (TNA) leader Uhuru Kenyatta is meeting party delegates in Nairobi.
Mr Kenyatta is addressing the delegates at the Multi-Media University.
The TNA delegates had converged in Nairobi to attend the national delegates conference (NDC) at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani, Tuesday.
However, the NDC was postponed at the last minute.
The delegates were expected to jointly nominate the Jubilee Alliance's presidential flagbearer but the conference was put off, amid differences that threatened to kill the union of three parties.
The Alliance leaders Mr Kenyatta (TNA), Musalia Mudavadi (United Democratic Forum) and William Ruto (United Republican Party) met for more than 12 hours — nine hours on Sunday night and three hours on Monday morning — trying to find common ground on the presidential nominations.
But the three were not helped by TNA and UDF hardliners, with the former pushing for a delegates conference and the latter insisting on consensus.
