TNA, URP, UDF in new pre-poll pact

TNA and URP signed a pre-election coalition deal on Monday
Uhuru Kenyatta of The National Alliance-TNA , William Ruto of United Republican Party-URP and Musalia Mudavadi of United Democratic Front -UDF Tuesday  signed a new pre-poll pact at Laico Regency Hotel, in Nairobi and deposited the deal with the Registrar of Political Parties.
According to the deal, a joint nomination will be conducted between Uhuru Kenyatta and Musalia Mudavadi UDF to determine the presidential candidate. Ruto will maintain the running mate slot.
Meanwhile, New Ford Kenya, National Vision Party and Federal Party of Kenya, KADDU Asili and Shirikisho party have also signed a pre-election deal in the last minute rush to beat the deadline.
The New Ford Kenya leader Eugene Wamalwa, Nicholas Biwott of the National Vision Party and Federal Party of Kenya leader Cyrus Jirongo Tuesday  evening agreed on a coalition dubbed ‘Pambazuka' to form a third force in the race.
Speaking while unveiling the deal, Wamalwa said the coalition will later decide who will be the flag bearer through the parties' national delegates, adding that the coalition was committed to putting the country's interests first.
Jirongo reiterated the need for good leaders who will propel the country to development.
On his part Biwott said the coalition will focus on addressing issues affecting Kenyans to ensure a more prosperous country.
And Peter Kenneth's of Kenya National Congress-KNC has joined forces with Raphael Tuju of Party of Action-POA to form  the fourth and last  pre coalition pact in a day filled with  political intrigues ,disappointment and surprises.
Kenneth who was earlier widely tipped to work with Musalia Mudavadi and new Ford Kenya Eugene Wamalwa held talks with the two late into the night on Monday with no agreement forthcoming.
