CORD will peacefully sell their policies-Raila
Prime Minister Raila Odinga has assured Kenyans that Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (CORD) will peacefully sell their policies during the campaigns to avert the polarity that nation witness during the last polls.
He said the alliance was committed to a peaceful transition after the March 4th polls and challenged opponents of the CORD to make similar assurance for the mutual good of the nation.
The Premier said CORD was not interested in tribal politics but wanted the competing forces to argue their case based on the ideologies and policies they intended to apply to improve the welfare of Kenyans.
“We must remain united and we assure Kenyans that CORD will be truly peaceful to ensure that the coming contest will be about the ideas and not the might of a community and avoid a recurrence of events that characterized the 2002 polls” he said.
Odinga gave the assurance today after a Sunday mass at the Nairobi Chapel where he led the CORD luminaries including Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka and Trade Minister Moses Watengula.
Others In attendance were the Premiers’ spouse Ida Odinga, cabinet Ministers Dalmas Otieno, and Musa Sirma.
The Leaders also took the opportunity wish the nation a merry Chistmas but cautioned motorists to be keen to reduce cases of road carnage witnessed during such festive seasons.
