Leading lights in the Coalition for Reform and Democracy (CORD) met for a thanksgiving at a Nairobi church just a day after they revealed their lineup, in yet another show of unity.
Prime Minister Raila Odinga, Vice president Kalonzo Musyoka and Trade minister Moses Wetang’ula committed their team to conducting peaceful campaigns.
The former political foes turned buddies congregated at Nairobi Chapel as the race to Statehouse gathers momentum.
Wetang’ula who was ostensibly designated the position ostensibly senate majority leader in the cord lineup said that the presidential contest should be one of ideas.
The trio challenged their opponents in the race to also commit to peaceful elections. They also wished Kenyans happy holidays.
“Let me take this opportunity to wish Kenyans a merry Christmas and a happy new year,” said the PM.
Kalonzo took the opportunity to caution drivers against recless driving.
