The musical chairs drama at the Kenya Tourism Board may be now replicated at the Ministry of Labour's National Industrial Training Authority, formerly the Directorate of Industrial Training. Patrick Omutia has been appointed director general to replace Elizabeth Kimenyi who has served in an acting capacity for one and a half years. Board members unhappy with Omutia's appointment have hatched a plot to have Kimenyi appointed boss. Already, letters have been written to Labour minister John Munyes asking him to rescind Omutia's appointment.

The board of a water authority has been sent into a panic after the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission started investigating complaints that the board unilaterally altered the construction plan of a dam in North Eastern province, doubling the cost. The board has been holding crisis meetings trying to figure out how to justify the alterations. If that fails the board may be forced to refund the money lost.

The FKF request to the KPL to move the season-ender match between Gor Mahia and Thika United to Kasarani from Thika Municipal Stadium has been meet with harsh criticism by football fans. Twitter and other social media are awash with complaints that the decision will give Gor Mahia unfair advantage. Thika fans cite last year's season ender when Muhoroni Youth agreed to move their game from Nakuru to the City Stadium only to concede four goals to K'Ogalo.
