Sunday November 25, 2012 - United Republican Party (URP) Presidential hopeful William Ruto has criticised Prime Minister Raila Odinga for seeking to use the western countries to win support from voters ahead of the polls.
In a scathing jab to the PM, Ruto said Raila is seeking favours from Western Countries after sensing defeat in the March 4 general election.
Ruto, who is the Eldoret North lawmaker, urged Kenyans to be wary of Raila Odinga whose leadership was out to please foreign nations at the expense of the country’s interests.
The former Agriculture Minister termed Raila Odinga as “western countries’ stooge” who is being used to create havoc in the peaceful country.
“Kenyan can and must handle their own affairs without the interference of the international community or any other person with ill motive,” Ruto said.
The URP party leader asked Kenyans to shun leaders like Raila Odinga, saying they have no proven record for the many years they have held plum government positions.
“Let them tell us what they have done when the country was going through challenging times. We must shun those who are engaging us in empty rhetoric and mere political proverbs,” he said.
