The ICC fears my evidence against RAILA and can release OCAMPO 4

The ICC fears my evidence against RAILA and can release OCAMPO 4

Friday August 10, 2012 - Political analyst Tony Gachoka has claimed that International Criminal Court (ICC) Chief Prosecutor Fatou Bensouda fears his evidence because it could tarnish the court’s credibility since it might set free four Kenyan suspect facing trials at the ICC.

Speaking to journalists on Thursday evening, Gachoka said he is willing to give the ICC grilling revelations on what happened in 2008 post election violence since he was among the closest advisors of Raila Odinga.

Gachoka said he is waiting for a reply from The Hague based court whom he has accused of remaining mum for fear of losing its credibility.

“I can only imagine that her refusal to receive my evidence under oath is driven by concern other than the quest for truth and justice,” Gachoka said.

“Perhaps the Chief Prosecutor (sic) fears that her office will be castigated should it be compelled to withdraw and recast its entire cases concerning Kenya,” Gachoka added.

When asked why he took too long to release the evidence, Gachoka said that he wanted to know whether the charges for the Kenyan suspects would be confirmed first.

“There would have been no need for me to get involved because their cases had not been confirmed,” he stated.

Gachoka claims that when he was PM’s Chief of Protocol, he was in charge of the PM’s diary of events that included meetings in which he sat and took notes of the proceedings where he came through glairing evidence of the post election violence.

Gachoka said he will do what he can to make sure he presents the evidence to the ICC.
