Presidential hopeful Martha Karua has urged Kenyans to reject tribal outfits such as GEMA and KAMATUSA.

Speaking in Kapenguria when she opened Narc Kenya offices at Makutano Shopping Centre on Thursday, Karua said some leaders want to polarise the country by forming tribal groupings for their selfish political mileage instead of uniting Kenyans.

“Some people are out there to use the tribal numbers to ascend to power and they are forming tribal groups to achieve their selfish agenda. I caution Kenyans to be wary of this kind of leadership,”Karua said

Ms Karua, who is also the Gichugu lawmaker, urged Kenyans to make sure they elect a leader who passes the Chapter Six of the Constitution which defines the requirements of a credible leader.

Without naming names Karua said all top presidential aspirants are all tainted and she is among the few who have no scandals.

She expressed hope that will be the next Head of State after President Kibaki exits early next year.
