Friday August 31, 2012-Kwhisero MP Evans Akula has dismissed reports that he has ditched Raila’s party ODM to Mudavadi’s party UDF.
Speaking at his home while meeting Luhya clan leaders on Friday, the MP claimed there is plot to antagonise him with the electorate saying he is still an ODM member.
“These reports that I am in UDF are meant to portray me as a liar to both my people in Khwisero and the party leader and Prime Minister Raila Odinga,”Akula said.
Akula was mentioned as one MPs from Kakamega, who will join the campaigns for the UDF candidate Walter Andati for September 17 Bukura ward by election.
The MP accused UDF supporters of engaging in propaganda to show the party is popular in Kakamega.
Akula said that Raila has massive support from all Kenyans and he cannot ditch a party that enjoys the support of all Kenyans.
He expressed confidence that the Premier will be the fourth President of Kenya come March next year.
