Water minister Charity Ngilu and Mutito MP Kiema Kilonzo on Sunday threatened to demolish a multi-million shilling shopping mall in Kitui town owned by Defence assistant minister David Musila.
The two claimed Mr Musila, who is also the Mwingi South MP, acquired the land irregularly.
“We sing about impunity every day but some leaders continue using their positions to get away with grabbing public land,” Mrs Ngilu said in Mwingi town during a recruitment drive for her Narc party.
Reacted angrily
Mr Musila reacted angrily to the allegations, daring Mrs Ngilu and Mr Kilonzo to make good their threat.
Mr Musila accused the two of inciting people to violence “by engaging in cheap politics of hatred and jealousy”.
“I dare them to go ahead and demolish the building. We’ll see where their jealousy will take them,” he said shortly before leaving for China with a delegation of farmers from his constituency to tour coal mining sites.
The magnificent Muli Mall was built in 1985 on a plot which Mrs Ngilu and Mr Kilonzo claim was a public recreational park.

At the time, Mr Musila was a provincial commissioner.
Mrs Ngilu and Mr Kilonzo, who also accused Mr Musila of interfering with the electoral boundary review exercise in Kitui County, were also on a campaign to raise funds to challenge the Independent Electoral Boundaries Commission report in court.
Mr Musila, who is allied to Vice-President Kalonzo Musyoka, will lock horns with Mrs Ngilu (below) for the Kitui senate seat. Mr Kilonzo is running for governor.
The two also said the Mwingi Musila Gardens should be renamed Mwingi Stadium to end the culture of glorifying individuals.
