Former Cabinet minister Raphael Tuju on Sunday unveiled Party of Action (POA) for his presidential bid for race to State House.

"This fresh outfit is a party for those who are through with education and have no future," said Mr Tuju at the party launch in Nairobi.
Presidential hopefuls including Deputy Prime minister Uhuru Kenyatta, Saboti MP Eugene Wamalwa, and Eldoret North MP William Ruto were in attendance.
Mr Tuju said Kenyans not tolerate negative ethnicity perpetrated by political leaders.
"Kenyan's die for tribal leaders. The post election violence experienced in the last general election was as a result of that," he said.
Mr Tuju said poor leadership faced by the country can only be dealt with once political leaders and a youthful team of experienced professionals work together on new ideas.
"The party will put together visionary leaders and a team of a team of professionals to develop Kenya and the East African region," he said.
Mr Tuju said turning Kenya into an industrialised state had been slow, hence, affecting economic growth.

He also said the country has underutilised the entertainment industry, which has spurred economic development in western nations.
Kenya needs hope
Eldoret North MP William Ruto said the country was undergoing a transformation, which will unite the people irrespective of race, gender and religion.
"This transformation will go beyond tribe and religion. It will unite Kenyans," he said.
Deputy Prime minister Uhuru Kenya also noted that Kenyans want a renewed hope and a great leadership.
He noted that most Kenyans lack meals for survival while others die from preventable diseases due to the high cost of health care.
"We have people who sleep without food and some die because they cant go to hospital," he said. "We need a sustainable Kenya."
Mr Kenyatta said Kenya will not entertain divisive politics from irresponsible leadership.
"We have leaders who engage in mud slinging and politics. We want leaders to work together and face challenges that affect the country," he said.
He said a new Kenya will require a deliberate effort from visionary leaders who put the interest of the citizens at heart.
"This party (POA) will be a critical part for a better Kenya," he said.

  3. Was it necessary to boast about grabbing KICC in the presence of the KANU chairman?

  4. I think Tuju would the best compromise candidate for all those not in ODM. He is modern guy with sufficient knowledge about many things. Go go POA. We are fed up with old same things.

  5. I admire Mheshemiwa Tuju's statements all over his campaign trail and with due respect, I recomend him to tell us what he is to give to Kenyans and not what he expect from Young Kenyans
