SOON TO BE 'DR RUTO'

I spend the day out in Kitale at the Saiwa swamp ecosystem which is the study site for my PHD thesis at the University of Nairobi. My supervisors, Prof. Kinyamario & Dr. Akunda who accompanied me were of great help and the whole experience was very informative. When am done I will be making recommendations on among other things scientific ways for better management of wetland ecosystems in our great country. Saiwa is a unique swamp because it is home to the Sitatunga one of the world's endangered animal species making it's conservation a compelling imperative. Friends, one scholar said 'education makes people easy to lead but difficult to drive, easy to govern but impossible to enslave'. Jameni tusome!
